ABOUT: astrothebaptist is a moniker for LJ Kim, a mixed media artist & filmmaker based in Los Angeles. astrothebaptist represents the part of him that explores, creates, and finds peace in the cosmos. As an artist, he delves into the world of light, sculpture, space, and architecture, seeking to capture the beauty and wonder of light and color. Born in New Jersey to Korean immigrants and raised in St. Petersburg, Russia, with a year in Germany, LJ Kim has always been immersed in diverse cultures and experiences. This international upbringing has greatly influenced his artistic vision and approach to storytelling. LJ received a Bachelor's degree in Cinematic Arts from the University of Southern California in 2010 and has since worked as a director, cinematographer, and producer. He has a passion for creating visually striking pictures that explore light through unique perspectives. He is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of traditional storytelling and is always seeking out new and innovative ways to bring ideas to life on and off the screen.
