With a compelling focus on color principles, shape and form, he creates objects interacting with each other, playfulness being the driving narrative throughout his work. Cook uses organic, nature-inspired forms, geometric and more sharp angular forms constructing a captivating balance.

Dustin Cook
Dustin Cook is a Detroit-based visual artist and designer. He is a graduate of College for Creative Studies, and was one of the featured artists in the CCS Student Exhibition 2017. Playfulness is a reoccurring narrative throughout his work explored through sculptural works, paintings and installations. This playfulness comes through by maintaining a formalist focus on color principles, line quality, shape and form, and abstracted representations of symbols and signs. Dustin Cook will debut his first solo exhibition, “Tumble” on March 30th at PLAYGROUND DETROIT.
