Ella Raayoni was born in Vienna, Austria and came to Israel when she was eight years old. Aside from her exhibits in Israel, she exhibited in the Paris Salon of 1958 and was awarded first by the Women's International Artists. In the same year, she also had a show in London. She also exhibited in Switzerland, Italy, and the United States. she died in 1993. Ella Ra'ayoni, born 1915, Vienna, Austria. Died 1993 painter, Fashion Designer, Textile Collages. She studied textiles through her research on ancient costumes. In 1934 she married Shmuel Ra’ayoni, who was her teacher. In 1947 they traveled to Paris, France. In 1953 they joined the “Ein Hod” Artists’ Village in Israel.

AGI is officially founded November 22, 1952 and Picart Le Doux will be its first president.
