The poem "Hats" reads:
"I always know it's winter,
Though I'm hot enough to melt,
Because my mother makes me wear
My little hat of felt.
And so again I always tell
The spring, not by the thaw,
But then the felt hat goes, and I
Put on my hat of straw."
