Joan Breckwoldt is an American contemporary artist living in Houston, Texas. Her training has a foundation of traditional methods and she enjoys the challenge of using traditional painting methods to create contemporary works. Joan has studied at the University of Texas at Austin, The Art League of Houston, and the Konigs Schule in the Hague, the Netherlands. She is represented by the Jack Meier Gallery in Houston, Texas. Joan Breckwoldt paints figures and landscapes in oil. Also shown are The Magnolia and Abstract paintings that the Breckwoldt is known for in her artistic career. "I have been a gallery artist for 10 years. My training has a foundation of traditional methods. I enjoy the challenge of using traditional painting methods to create contemporary works. I have studied at the University of Texas at Austin, The Art League of Houston, and the Konigs Schule in the Hague, the Netherlands."
