Original media media of watercolor, gouache and oil pastel on archival paper by the master pastel artist, Frank Frederico. Circa 1980. Signed by the artist top left. Condition is excellent. The subject is a children’s dance class with rich, vibrant colors. The artwork is housed in a thin brass toned metal frame with linen liner. UV clear plexiglass protects the artwork. Large original acrylic on canvas painting by the well known contemporary American artist, Michael Patterson. Signed lower right. Completed in 2021. Condition is excellent. Framed in a bleached wood shadow box frame with overall framed measurements being 49 by 61 inches. Michael Patterson was born in Hudson, NY in 1953 into a family of painters. Howard Ashman Patterson, his grandfather, was an established American painter. Michael graduated from Suny Purchase with honors in painting, printmaking, and sculpture. He has been painting for thirty-five years or so, doing extensive traveling for inspiration. His travels include Vermont, Maine, California, New Mexico, Hawaii, Costa Rica, Ecuador, and Europe. He lived in France for several years. Michael has shown his work in Europe and the U.S., primarily in the Northeast.
