About the Item
Beaux or bows, which is it? Can a bow be found? Does the work conjure beaux or a beau in particular? This playful work at the intersection of saucy and sweet evokes wistful longing and reminiscing. The artists' rich coloration and use of shapes provide geometric abstraction within representation. Conjuring fantastical possibilities this work, with a nod to Miami, beacons viewers to join in the fun!
The work becomes interactive and alive through the artists' one of a kind original artist process, known as Metalagram®. Developed at the intersection of art + science, the artists use old world techniques + 21st century technology to create sculpturally. A dimensional interactive experience is rendered with the work appearing 3D (despite being 2D) and differently from 180 degree vantage points. At varying angles of incidence lighting impacts the work as photons dance across the hand cut layered aluminum.
The artists first debuted Metalagram® works during Art Basel Miami week 2012. These works have received numerous awards including Best of Show for Art, Innovation & Design from the Beverly Hills, CA Fine Art Show.

Linda's friends and family share stories of her constant - painting, drawing, and doodling. However, it wasn't until age 50 that Linda wholeheartedly embraced her visual generative art practice as her life's mission. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the Literature, Science & Arts College at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI, and obtained her JD in 1979. Collaborating with her eldest son Theodore (Teddy) Schinkel in 2010, her artistic journey evolved. Linda, an outsider artist, had artistic education from multiple institutions, including the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI, Sorbonne University of Paris, Paris France, National Geographic in Siena Italy and a National Geographic Around the World Photography Intensive. She had a residency at the Ox-Bow School of Art, Saugatuck MI and an Artist Residency at Cranbrook, Bloomfield Hills MI, a renowned center for art, education, and science. Linda's works exude a captivating blend of synergy and sublime metaphysical connections. Enjoying gallery representation since 2004, Linda's artistry has been featured in "Style" and "Ambassador" magazines before publishing as an artist duo in "The Wall Street Journal," "USA Today," and "World Wide Art Books." Linda attributes the uniqueness of her works and trajectory to following in her parents' footsteps, leveraging right and left brain hemispheres. Linda was honored with the 49th Distinguished Women’s Award from Northwood University, Midland MI.

Excerpt from the PACE Gallery Press materials: It is clear that Moix, a true Catalonian, has a rightful claim to the lineage that spawned the extraordinary draughtmanship of his Spanish predecessors- Goya and Picasso. “Part of the pleasure of this project on Quixote by Santi Moix is that it boldly closes the gap between writing and art, between the markmaking of the pen, the stylo, the etching tool, between the fiction of two absolutely distinct means of expression, and proposes instead a true imaginative domain in which unity is everything” – Adrian Dannati, 2008 Measurements: Frame: 22 x 27 x 1.5 inches Print: 19.5 x 25 inches Exhibition History: "Santi Moix: Don Quixote" at PACE prints from September 11 to October 4, 2008.
