Energy Travels, Mixed Media on Canvas

2021

About the Item

TITLE: ENERGY TRAVELS DESCRIPTION: Energy travels in the most unexpected ways. Obvious, thick brushstrokes of color in some areas and fine, velvet layers in other parts. Hues of blue and purple dominates the painting, while flashes of fluo orange reenforces the movement, the traveling. MATERIALS: It is painted with high quality acrylics, and spray paint on hand stretched Italian canvas (220gr. quality). A thin layer of varnish protects the artwork against UV light and dust. SIGNATURE: It is signed at the back and accompanied with certificate of authenticity. READY TO HANG: It is unframed, but ready to hang. At the sides, there are stripes of paint from the creative process. Look at the detail photos. It is wired. ---------------------------------- ABOUT MY ART: "Nature, light and colors inspire me the most. I follow the potentials of the materials, in a free, gestural process, which reminds of free associations in psychotherapy and meditation. I see one point and the whole, almost at the same time, again and again. I release and I hold, add and erase, again and again. I let my instinct and emotion flow, observing carefully how the elements of art communicate with each other; I form a composition that satisfies my aesthetic, emotional, and spiritual pursuit. What seems coincidence at the beginning is a product of systematic observation of every little detail and stroke study. I usually use acrylic combined with pigments. I work layer after layer, creating transparencies, revealing the best textures and design elements; I bring into being a unique and mysterious atmosphere, in a dynamic and passionate manner, full of energy, close to abstract expressionism". :: Mixed Media :: Expressionism :: This piece comes with an official certificate of authenticity signed by the artist :: Ready to Hang: Yes :: Signed: Yes :: Signature Location: back :: Canvas :: Diagonal :: Original :: Framed: No

  • See Beyond 1
    Located in Ibadan, Oyo
I stared at the man with keen interest, hoping to know more about what life has in store for me. The man looked at me sternly, and I couldn’t be more convinced he had seen everything, including my afterlife. A strange language jolted me back to reality as I realized the lady in the room had arrived at the intersection where "Malaicha" and other spirits were. I watched in confusion as the man quickly scribbled down what appeared to be an interpretation of the foreign tongue. My patience dwindled per second as the man kept penning down words. To shorten a long story short, the interpretation was presented in bold letters. My background was also written as additional proof of the veracity of the "spirit." I became eager to know the way forward. "Abeg, Sir, and Ma help my life." "I want to come out of my family's shackles and enemies," I pleaded. They exchanged a knowing look as if they’d been anticipating this moment. My pockets started running dry while my anxiety spiked. I was told to join their religion and denominations. Of course, it’s preferable to go from "God" to "God" in spiritual warfare. I wish to go back to the point of ignorance, where no one was after my life and every day was another day to conquer. A few months later, I realized that to see beyond any circumstances, we must be at ease and calm; we are better able to discern people’s motivations. To see beyond is to see with our inner eyes rather than filthy, unknown eyes. To see beyond is to remain steadfast in personal prayer and to hold out hope that your prayers will be heard. To see beyond is to see beyond the limitations of flesh, realizing that you are gods.
