Michael Giliberti
A Sudden Splash - Framed Original Vibrant Water Painting Mid Century Modern

2023

About the Item

Michael Giliberti’s original artworks are characterized by vivid colors and powerful compositions. His work exemplifies Modernism and in particular modern wall art. The inspirations of his mixed media artworks are his own photographs. He mixes aspects from several photographs and carefully separates the patterns of color that he sees in his photos. He translates these into a complex layering of acrylic paint onto the canvas to add depth with new color combinations and subtle textures. As a result, each artwork evolves and changes from the first stroke to the last. This one-of-a-kind mixed media painting on canvas measures 40 inches high by 30 inches wide. This artwork is framed in a thin black wooden frame, wired and ready to hang, making it a hassle-free addition to any wall. It's signed by the artist on the front, adding an extra touch of authenticity and value. Free delivery is available for those in the local Los Angeles area. Affordable worldwide shipping is available for U.S. and international art collectors. A certificate of authenticity issued by the art gallery is included with the artwork, ensuring that the piece is an authentic work of art from Michael Giliberti. Michael Giliberti studied graphic design at Parsons School of Design in New York and UCLA, and printmaking at Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles. Prior to committing full-time to his painting and printmaking, Giliberti enjoyed a successful career as a creative director in corporate advertising. It was his interest and exposure to photography, combined with his training as an artist, which formed the basis of his creative process. Some of Giliberti’s artworks reflect his lasting impressions of a cross-country road trip while others show his keen interest in mid-century modern architecture, swimming pools, and society. “I paint subjects that may be familiar to people or attract their attention; maybe a place they’ve visited, or possibly somewhere they’d like to go.” REPRESENTATION Artspace Warehouse, Los Angeles, CA EXHIBITIONS 2019-23 Artspace Warehouse, Los Angeles, CA Palm Springs Fine Art Fair, CA 2018 Artspace Warehouse, Los Angeles, CA 2017 Palm Springs Fine Art Fair, CA 2018 Palm Springs Fine Art Fair, CA 2016 Art Hamptons, NY 2016 Affordable Art Fair New York, NY 2016 Palm Springs Fine Art Fair, CA 2015 Artspace Warehouse, Los Angeles, CA 2012 haleARTS SPACE Gallery, Santa Monica, CA 2012 Gallery 825, Los Angeles, CA 2011 Gallery 825, Los Angeles, CA 2010 Tag Gallery, Santa Monica, CA 2010 Gallery 825, Los Angeles, CA 2010 ArcLight Cinemas (solo exhibit), Hollywood, CA 2009 The Artists Gallery, Chelsea, NY 2008 Tarfest Exhibition, Los Angeles, CA 2007 Ward-Nasse Gallery, New York, NY 2006 Ward-Nasse Gallery, New York, NY COLLECTIONS Warner Brothers Studios, Burbank, CA Sheraton Universal Hotel, Los Angeles, CA BMW Munich, Germany Renaissance Los Angeles Airport Hotel, Los Angeles, CA Pali Wine Co., Lompoc, CA Sunset+Cower Studios, Hollywood, CA Search Optics, San Diego, CA Search Optics, Detroit, Michigan FILM AND TELEVISION NBC TV Columbia Pictures

  • Muhammad Ali: The Legend of My Dreams
    By Virginie Schroeder
    Located in Los Angeles, CA
Virginie Schroeder is an innovative artist based in Quebec, Canada. She puts in play lines, circles and other geometric forms to create works with subjects that are not immediately visible. Verbal and psychological interplay with the public is integral to her creative process. Her art is the result of reflection, and of aesthetic intuition provoked by the geometric of forms. Her art exists to intrigue, to elicit questioning of its abstract character visible at first glance. One must focus on a single point and draw away slightly to begin to glimpse the impressively detailed work in its totality. Above all, Schroeder wants things not to be visible immediately. This original 30-inch high by 60-inch wide acrylic on canvas artwork is wired and ready to hang. The sides of the artwork are painted by the artist and it does not require framing. It is signed by the artist on the bottom and back of the painting. Free local Los Angeles area delivery. Affordable Continental U.S. and global shipping available. A certificate of authenticity issued by the art gallery is included. In order to perceive the works, the viewer must feel them, open up all of their senses and live them fully. It is insufficient to live the emotion of the work; Schroeder urges the viewer to enter the work, allowing their spirit to be absorbed into its face. Her paintings are made to inspire new artistic visions, while impressing their stunning technicality on the public. When a face, an animal, a landscape, or any other subject is evacuated of its linear structure, it acquires a completely different form, a different identity and dimension, a new prestige. One does not recognize it at first sight; it emerges as the very process of observation. It is here that the magic occurs, as the viewer consciously discovers a work of abstract character in vivid color which plays upon the tension between the figurative and the imaginary. Virginie Schroeder seeks an invented, unstructured, a different and yet popular vision, and hopes to awaken our senses in the search for her works. Amy Christie Pink Cyclamens on Lime Green Original Still Life Painting Mixed Media on Canvas Canvas Size: H 50cm x W 50cm Framed Size: H 54cm x W 54 cm x D 3.5cm Framed in a White Wooden Handpainted Tray Frame Pink Cyclamens on Lime Green is an original mixed-media painting by Amy Christie. Painted in bright, vibrant colours with acrylics and mixed-media to achieve a textured surface on the canvas. Amy has used silverleaf on many parts of the composition plus a metallic glaze to highlight certain areas. The silverleaf and shimmering glaze catch the light beautifully, so this is a piece of artwork that changes depending on the time of day, the light in the room and the direction from which the painting is viewed… artwork that literally changes before your eyes. I’m a North-Norfolk based painter inspired by the joy and vibrancy of flowers. They are a great vehicle for colour and I thoroughly enjoy selecting, mixing and working into my paints to create a piece that sings. I aim to uplift the viewer with my artwork and feel that I have succeeded in my work if I bring about a smile, a feeling of peace or a moment where all that matters is the beauty of colour and form. I work in acrylics and use textures and glazes with multiple layers of colour to create interesting and exciting effects. Paint is partially removed and pulled back to reveal hidden colours and I often adorn the painting with gold- or silver-leaf to illuminate it even further. I also use antique wooden printing blocks...

Pradosh Swain - Longing Past III - 24 x 60 inches (unframed size) Acrylic on canvas Inclusive of shipment in a roll form. "Pradosh’s paintings have a surrealistic quality, the imagery is dreamy and mystical and rendering is such as if there is some kind of romance and magic happening amongst the colours in his palette. His paintings are the result of brilliant culminations of feelings and things that are between imagination and reality." Style : Pradosh’s works can be described as psychic automatism in its pure state. His works are expressive and his palette vibrant and gorgeous. Nature is the frequent imagery that we see in his paintings. Sometimes his imagery is outlandish, perplexing and uncanny as it is meant to shake the viewer and make them to think beyond the theories which they have guarded themselves with. Lot of elements that we see in pradosh’s paintings also come from his childhood days in Odisha. His paintings often take us on a nostalgic ride where we see elements which we were so used to and have now learnt to live without. He uses common elements that we see in our day to day life to convey his feelings and thought which makes his works all the more interesting. His paintings leave the viewer perplexed at the first glance but a deeper look gives the insight into his thoughts that instigate him to create. Pradosh’s paintings have a surrealistic quality, the imagery is dreamy and mystical and rendering is such as if there is some kind of romance and magic happening amongst the colours in his palette. His paintings are the result of brilliant culminations of feelings and things that are between imagination and reality. They reflect his genuine concern about issues he feels for. He emphasizes on the power of imagination and believes that revelation could be found anywhere….on the streets and in everyday life. Through his paintings artist depicts the notion that how our high pace life is making all of us loose that contact from the nature or even with ourselves.
