About the Item
"Color Block #2" is part of Ciccoricco's Three-Piece Series "Color Blocking." Ciccoricco takes a found image and abstracts the piece to the point of little recognition. Encouraging the viewer to look at the photograph's basic color patterns. Stretching the photograph beyond its own borders and creating a new narrative of what an image is. The image size is 11x8 and is framed in a 14x11. Please message us for additional images and videos of the work, or follow our storefront to see more work by Natalie. Additional images show the frame the postcard is in, but the images are of other available works. Inquire for pictures of the actual frame and postcard.
My mixed media collages are all original, analog works consisting of found paper, photographs, and embroidery thread, which I use to weave together new narratives on paper. My illustrations are personal snapshots of things I’ve seen. I love to experiment with different materials and re-use old images and paper. In doing so, I hope to bring new life to these materials so that they can be enjoyed and appreciated once again. I draw inspiration from my dreams, nature, arts, literature, and travels for my artworks.
Natalie Ciccoricco is a Dutch collage artist living in California. After moving to the United States in 2012, Natalie started making mixed media collages and illustrations inspired by her new surroundings. Natalie has shown art in juried shows at various renowned galleries, such as the Yosemite National Park Museum Gallery, the Bedford Gallery in Walnut Creek, STUDIO Gallery in San Francisco, and La Luz de Jesus L.A. Her work is characterized by her embroidery thread in combination with other materials such as old books, magazines, photographs, and other ephemera.
We will ship this via standard parcel boxed with internal support to maintain the integrity of the piece. The work will be fully insured during shipping. If you are local to the San Francisco Bay Area, we will deliver for free.
