This mesmerizing 1950s modern portrait features an oil on canvas painting by Maurice Ambroise Ehlinger (1896 - 1981). The model is Miss France Noel, a socialite from the Paris bourgeoisie. The piece is hand-signed in the bottom left corner. A caption on the canvas at the back reads: "Mademoiselle France Noel par M. Ehlinger - MCMLVII." The painting still has its original elegant ornate cerused or limed oak frame with gray painted liner. Measurements: With frame: 30.75 in. wide (78 cm) x 36 in. high (91.5 cm) x 2.75 in. deep (7 cm).
