About the Item
“Mini-Ramp” series is the artwork that uses two icons that symbolize city & street culture: “Camera” and “Camouflage”. The camera has the functions of "surveillance" and "prevention of crime", and the camouflage is designed to have the function of hiding from something. By contrasting the contradictory concepts of hiding(camouflage) and seeking(camera) on a single screen, this work describes skaters, graffiti artists, and street performers trying to find a place to express themselves while evading the eye of surveillance. It describes that fighting and defending against surveillance is always an important element of cultural maturation.
