About the Item
Artist Comments
This painting features a woman as the central subject, depicted with bold textures and spontaneous brushstrokes. Her white dress against the deep blue background offers a striking contrast. The flowing movement of the cloth and her long hair evoke a dream-like atmosphere, conveying a sense of entering a spiritual realm.
About the Artist
Artist Gary Leonard enjoys the challenges of figurative work, focusing on color and composition rendered spontaneously to create a lasting impression. His paintings express the delicate beauty and romance of the world, leaving the viewer with a deep sense of warmth and peace. “That which lies within us must be recognized and explored,†says Gary. Inspired by the techniques of the old masters, Gary took inspiration from the works of John Singer Sargent, weaving his influences into his creations. Driven by specific objectives, each of his artworks serves to continuously refine his skills. He gathers references from a collection of photos and experiments with various arrangements to achieve his artistic goals. Gary finds focus while painting to music in his tidy studio, surrounded by his works. Beyond art, Gary works as a marketing designer, explores 3D-printed sculptures, and enjoys playing tunes on the piano.
