"Brigid Berlin Hand-Needlepoint Pillow"

About the Item

Palm/ lime green block/ squares needlepoint pillow w/ silk moire plaid reverse & tassel trim by Brigid Berlin, (1939-2020) famed Andy Warhol superstar muse and legendary needlepointist whose pillows are considered highly coveted works of art. In 2008 there was an exhibition of BB's one-of-a-kind New York Post tabloid front cover pillows at the Glenn Horowitz Gallery on East 64th St where prices ranged $10k+ This, unique pillow was acquired directly from Richard Dupont, a Warhol associate of Studio 54 fame who lived with BB in the mid-2000s, who remembered her rarely leaving her apartment except to buy yarn.
