A wonderful 19th century gilt oval picture frame in the French Rococo style, elaborately decorated with foliate running patterns and elaborate upper gesso shell and acanthus ornamentation.Measurements for the frame are: Window (39 x 33.5cm); Rebate (44.5 x 38cm); Frame (66 x 50 cm).

- Condition:The gilt frame has a lovely patina. There is a 7cm hairline crack to the left side of the frame. The gesso pediment has been previously repaired. This is particularly noticeable to the left-hand acanthus leaf.
