About the Item
Wartburg Car Advertising is an original illustration realized at the end of the XIX century.
Good condition- Glued on black cardboard (21 x 14.7 cm).
This vintage illustration is advertising from a newspaper of the beginning of XX century and it publicizes a new model of the Wartburg produced by Automobilwerk Eisenach (AWE), an automobile manufacturer in Eisenach, Germany. At the end of the XIX century, the company acquired from the French Decauville the license to produce a car in Germany. Thus the Wartburg was born, the first car of the Fahrzeugfabrik Eisenach (FFE). The name of the model derived from the name of an ancient castle located in that area.
The Wartburg was presented at the Düsseldorf Motor Show in September 1898 and consisted, like the vast majority of the cars of that time, in a vehicle similar to a motor coach. Only 6 were produced until 1900.

During the 1970s, Chicago founded the first feminist art program in the United States at California State University, Fresno (formerly Fresno State College) which acted as a catalyst for feminist art and art education during the 1970s. Her inclusion in hundreds of publications in various areas of the world showcases her influence in the worldwide art community. Additionally, many of her books have been published in other countries, making her work more accessible to international readers. Chicago's work incorporates a variety of artistic skills, such as needlework, counterbalanced with skills such as welding and pyrotechnics. Chicago's most well known work is The Dinner Party, which is permanently installed in the Elizabeth A. Sackler Center for Feminist Art at the Brooklyn Museum. The Dinner Party celebrates the accomplishments of women throughout history and is widely regarded as the first epic feminist artwork. Other notable art projects by Chicago include International Honor Quilt, Birth Project, Powerplay, and The Holocaust Project. She is represented by Jessica Silverman...Category

Makes a superb gift! Inspired by an original recording conducted by Igor Stravinsky and William Hogarth's series of eight paintings and engravings of the same name, Hockney began designing the set and costumes production of The Rake's Progress. Through his designs and the use of his now iconic cross-hatched etchings, he wanted to create a 20th century response to the opera and to Hogarth's 18th century idea. These cufflinks are based upon those Hockney etchings...Category

- Let Freedom RingBy Johnnie Lee GrayLocated in Charelston, SCThis painting captures the sense of "double victory" the Tuskegee Airmen fought for--victory abroad and victory at home. The Tuskegee Airmen was the all-black World War II fighter squadron that never lost a bomber. The flag-wrapped Statue of Liberty's ringing of the Liberty Bell against the backdrop of clouds shaped in "V"s mirror the optimism some blacks had. They hoped that helping to win World War II would translate into victory against Jim Crow...Category
