About the Item
Beraud continues his exploration of the neo-Cubist landscape that is derived from his extensive travels in Asia and Africa. Beraud both reveres and celebrates the turn-of-the-century art form that launched most of the modern design and art movements of the 20th century: art deco, modernism, abstract, dadaism, and futurism. Cubism would influence art, music, architecture, design, fashion, and literature in its heyday. "Neo-Cubist Woman" is his take on women and femininity—frequent themes in his paintings.
