We are pleased to announce that we are now representing the large scale paintings of David K. Austin. The paintings of David K Austin are a wonderful balance of emotion and design. When viewing his art you can sense the energy and thought that went into every element of the work. This large original painting on canvas titled "Abstract View number 1" measures 60x64" and is signed on the front and back of the canvas. It is Acrylic paint, Oil pastel, gesso and varnish on canvas with stitching.
You look "INTO" his paintings and you see things happening. You see under the surface paint to what is happening under those top layers. It is as if there are many paintings within one painting. The soft edges that are complimented by the hard edge create the fantasy look that this painting has. The viewer can look at the painting and see what was in the imagination of the artist when he was creating the art. David is an artist that is able to communicate through his art what he is feeling while creating the art.
