Zigi Ben-Haim (born 1945 in Baghdad, Iraq) is an Iraqi-American-Israeli painter, collage artist and sculptor who lives and works in New York City and Israel. Ben-Haim unveiled his sculpture, Treasure the Green, in SoHo on Broadway. The project was sponsored by the SoHo Broadway Initiative and the New York Department of Transportation's Art Program. The sculpture is considered to be the first sculpture to receive permission to be installed on a bus bulb on Broadway. The sculpture was made to "emphasize the importance of nature in our lives," and stands as a reminder of "the importance of reconnecting with the pure nature of the green." The sculpture uses the symbol of the leaf, which has been a major icon of Ben-Haim's work for the past 30 years. It symbolizes nature and it is a metaphoric way of emphasizing nature and the surrounding environment. He is of the first generation of Israeli artists to develop large international followings like Yaacov Agam, Menashe Kadishman and Avigdor Arikha. Ben-Haim has received numerous grants and awards, including from Pollock-Krasner Foundation, National Endowments for the Arts, New York State Council on the Arts, The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), Emily Harvey Foundation Venice, Muestra Int. de Obra Grafica (Spain), and the Ministry of Culture in Israel. His works are included and exhibited in numerous public and private collections around the world, including the Guggenheim Museum in N.Y.C., the Jewish Museum, the Brooklyn Museum, the Israel Museum, and the Tel-Aviv Museum. Dynamic and whimsical, Aron Hill’s mobile is a joyful contemporary kinetic sculpture. Three separate discs are covered in a curated collage of shapes and brilliant colours. The colour profile here is Hill’s characteristically vivid palette-- orange, yellow, blue, red, and green punctuated by black and white. Delicately balanced, the sculpture moves in the air redefining the space and affording the viewer a fresh ‘view’. • There is a Block in the Void 1261
    By Len Klikunas
    Located in Los Angeles, CA
Artist Len Klikunas creates meditative minimalist sculptural artworks that modify experienced reality through visual perception. His art is a mix of art and architecture, hovering between painting and sculpture, energy and matter. It employs shizen (自然): the Japanese concept of naturalness, absence of pretense, or artificiality. Material is stretched over a supporting three-dimensional framework, like a tent, and coated with paint allowing shadows and reflections to fill the spaces in between. This sculptural three-dimensional 18-inches square and 5-inch deep post-minimalist artwork is wired and ready to hang. It is created with mixed media on canvas, stretched over a three-dimensional wooden form. The artist finishes the sides of this artwork as a continuation of the front and signs and titles the artwork on the back. Convenient local Los Angeles area delivery. Affordable worldwide shipping for US and international art collectors. A certificate of authenticity issued by the art gallery is included. Klikunas focuses on the larger idea behind his original abstract minimalist artworks. The work is characterized by “mindful artlessness” and simplicity. The natural-like radiation that comes from the structure of the materials and color schemes expresses calmness. With a fusion of art and architecture, Klikunas presents compositions focused on abstract reliefs based on regularity and geometry that defy conventional perceptions. Through strategic placement and a rich color palette that also includes monochrome paintings, he creates three-dimensional structures that engage viewers in a captivating visual experience. Len Klikunas' sculptural minimalist works are represented by Artspace Warehouse Los Angeles. They have been included in numerous exhibitions at galleries and art fairs as well as private and public collections throughout the world.
