Drawing from the ever-changing nature of California light, Gregg Renfrow works in translucent layers, pouring mixtures of polymer and pigment over sheets of cast acrylic. A disciple of the Light and Space movement, Renfrow creates brushless paintings of subtle tonal gradations that are in dialogue with the constant flux of the visible world as revealed by light.
