"Untitled" is a mid century oil on canvas representing an industrial city scape created by Herman Spertus in 1950. The artwork is signed and dated on the upper right and on verso.
Herman Spertus was born in Czarist Russia in 1901. An artist and successful businessman he is best known for establishing the College of Jewish Studies in Chicago with his brother Maurice, the precursor to the Spertus Institute of Jewish Studies.
