Hunt Rettig
Untitled 47

2017

About the Item

Hunt Rettig's three-dimensional wall sculptures consist of polyester film, thermoplastic rubber and acrylics that he molds to create organic shapes full of light and dimension placed under frosted plexiglass to instill a soft glow. The material reflects light internally from all directions and changes throughout the day with the different lighting conditions. This circular piece is much like a mandala and the colors in the larger loops change from shades of orange to soft yellows as you move around the piece. The tighter center loops reflect soft greys, purples, greens and gold colors as well.
