James Tatum's beautiful abstract landscape painting is of the 'River Exe Estuary.' The Exe Estuary is approximately 8 miles long, starting on the River Exe, south of Exeter, and spreading down towards the English Channel and the town of Exmouth, England. James Tatum's goal in painting is to show the world in a new and personal way. It often involves simplifying the scene to try to capture its essence and inner spirit as he views it.
