Jamie Brunson
Conductor

2018

About the Item

This composition is informed by meditation or contemplative practice, applied to studio practice. The first layer of linework is drawn freehand, improvising energy lines to create a structure emphasizing interconnectivity. The second layer of fainter lines were dictated by the open connections established in the first layer of linework. The title Conductor refers to the layered linework’s capacity to move expansive energy visually through the composition, mirroring the way meditation practice moves energy through the human body.
