10" x 11" Acrylic on Paper
12" x 12" x 1.5" (HxWxD) Framed and matted with a plexiglass front.
Hand-signed by the artist.
A modern and minimalist blue and white painting by artist KR Moehr, GEO utilizes a limited color palette of a mid-tone blue and applies the paint in broad strokes, layering them perpendicularly on top of one another, intentionally leaving some of the paper exposed to create a dynamic balance of positive and negative space.
Artist Commentary:
GEO is a modern abstract of minimalist style. Blues and white on white paper. Artwork is framed in a lightweight white modern box frame. Ready to hang.
About the Artist:
KR Moehr, Tucson, AZ Artist. Originally from Michigan, I spent many happy hours roaming through the Detroit Institute of Art (DIA) and marveling at masterpieces and developing a true love for art. I eventually earned a B.A. in Communications and worked in marketing/communications for automotive suppliers in suburban Detroit. Eventually, I moved west to rainy/quirky Portland, OR and lived there for several years during which I first picked up a paintbrush to record a particularly lovely watercolor sunset. It was awful; I was hooked. My life journey took me to my current home in sunny Arizona where I love to try to capture some of the natural desert beauty and amazing sky shows we get. After working to learn and hone my artistic skills, I now paint mostly in the abstract expressionist style and enjoy working with textured art. My media of choice is acrylics or water-based oils.
