Artist Commentary:
Lightwave VIII captures the movement and fleeting forms of water, perhaps when at eye level, or just coming up for air. Circular dot-like forms are against the fluid, watercolor-like background. The cool color palette contrasts well with the color of the natural linen backdrop, creating a calming feel. Lots of movement within the dots convey the fluid movement of water. This original painting measures 48""x36"" , created 08/2021, acrylic on linen.

Artist Biography:
Kristen Pobatschnig is an abstract painter, who emphasizes light and movement in a whirlwind of fleeting dots and forms. As indicated in her paintings, she is heavily inspired by movement, the Natural World, and the Cosmic. She has public artwork throughout the United States and has exhibited her artwork internationally. She studied Fine Art from 2002-2006 at Colby-Sawyer College in New London, New Hampshire, and she currently lives and paints in Incline Village, Nevada.
