2016

About the Item

Two large, hand-woven canvases, works from 2016. The canvas is made of linen and hemp (thick) yarn. The warp of one of them, the silver one (the second on the right), is painted with acrylic-based fabric paint. The first golden one, consists of 3 colored yarns in the lower area. The size of one work is 130 x 140 cm (with vertical crossbars). There is an outer seam in the middle. So the dimension of these two works as a diptych, if they are hung side by side, is 280 cm wide and 130 cm high. These canvases in the diptych are on thick frames made by a carpenter, they have vertical crossbars, a solid thing This Object is entirely constructed on a weaving loom. Each of the steps of the process of creation is connected with building and exploring the nature of colour and structure of the fabric.
