"Puck" is an original portrait oil painting on canvas by Matthew Schaefer. The abstracted figure is a unique and colorful design priced under $3000. It's sizing makes it perfect for most rooms in just about any décor and design scheme. Several modes of abstraction are evidenced in the artwork from abstract expressionism to neoexpressionist and even fauvist influences. The artist signed the painting in the lower left.

Matthew Schaefer is a Chicago-based artist work employs gestural brush strokes with figurative subjects to portray emotion and energy in a flat portrait. The bright colors and distorted features give the figure an almost fauvist appearance. Schaefer attended the Silverman College of Art in Connecticut. His more recent paintings have explored a more minimal approach to painting.
