Paul Kirley
Abstract Landscape 81

2018

About the Item

Paul Kirley lives and works in California where he grew up in a family of artists and designers. Art was an integral part of Paul’s life as a child. Kirley’s artistic influences include a connection to landscapes, buildings and childhood memories of locations. He discovered both photography and a love of 50’s abstract expressionist painting in his teens. He dreamed Kline brush strokes, Stieglitz compositions, and Rauschenberg combines. Paul is an exhibiting member of the Arts Guild of Sonoma and regularly contributes to the Venice Artwalk. This abstract painting is 48 inches high by 60 inches wide. It is stretched, wired and ready to hang. The sides of this artwork are painted and it does not require framing. Free local Los Angeles area delivery. Affordable U.S. and worldwide shipping. If preferred, the canvas can be removed from the stretcher bars, rolled up and shipped in a tube in order to reduce the costs of international shipping. Please inquire about this option if desired. It is signed by the artist on the front lower right corner A certificate of authenticity issued by the gallery is included. Paul creates visual experiences that connect people to place as though they were dreaming. His process begins as a series of digital photographic events. Iconic images and stories are identified and cataloged. Selections are then composed and combined with found objects yielding a narrative assemblage. The final step in the process includes expressing connections between the representational landscapes and ephemeral dreamscape experiences. Links between the two worlds are created as a series of traditionally painted layers and gestures. The creative process of each piece presents opportunities to live fully immersed in the stories and places of our dreams. • Light Force - Original Large Oversized Abstract Expressionism Cubist Painting
    By Frankie Alfonso
    Located in Los Angeles, CA
Cuban-American artist Frankie Alfonso creates interwoven paintings using lively colors and spontaneous, well-balanced compositions. His work is best described as a style of automatic writing where he manipulates simple lines to make complex arrangements of balance and harmony. His style is a mix of cubism, cartoon animation, surrealism, graffiti, and abstract expressionism. This large original graffiti-inspired artwork is 57 inches high by 80 inches wide. The sides of the artwork are painted as a continuation of the front and it does not require framing. This painting is signed by the artist on the front. Free local Los Angeles area delivery. Affordable Continental U.S. and worldwide shipping is available. A certificate of authenticity issued by the art gallery is included. Alfonso began drawing at an early age. He first found inspiration in comic books and enjoyed drawing his favorite superheroes from an unconventional perspective. As a teenager, he started to experiment with oils, and acrylics and took his passion for art to the canvas. Even after painting for over 20 years, he still pushes the boundaries while experimenting with mixed media, including oil, acrylic, gouache, and spray paint. Alfonso attended art school in Tampa, Florida, and traveled Europe for several years in search of inspiration and his own unique voice in art. Alfonso used his in-depth studies of European Masters and was inspired by Picasso, Braque, Klee, Dali, Basquiat, De Kooning, and Matisse. The joyful expressions of his artworks resonate in a positive light and inspire creative thinking and innovation. His works are represented by Artspace Warehouse, Los Angeles, and have been exhibited in Florida and California. They have been collected throughout the United States and Europe. • What the Night Delivers Black and Yellow Art Abstract Painting, Contemporary Art
    By Gina Parr
    Located in Deddington, GB
What the night delivers" an original abstract contemporary landscape by Gina Parr and other works from the series "Love or Money", explore the deep emotional connection with land and sea scape that the Artist's father gave to her; taking her with him on his day and night fishing trips when she was a child. Working with the memories and emotions of both joy and saudade for time past and life experience gained, her practice reflects her fundamental need to express this bitter- sweet nature of the human condition through abstracted scape and form. In this work Parr is interested in conveying both the joy and the apprehension of her memory of an overnight trip in the darkness to fish with her father. Gina Parr is available online and in our gallery at Wychwood Art. Gina works predominantly in the medium of painting, but also photographs when traveling: her way of painting whilst on the move. Her work is driven by autobiographical themes and natural reference, exploring the human condition through connections to place, time, space and memory. She has exhibited widely in galleries and art fairs in the UK and completed commissions in The Middle East, Belguim and London. Her works are held in collections Worldwide including Keble College Oxford, Director of Jestico + Whiles Architects London, President of the Boston's Children's Museum USA, and Goldman Sachs Senior Economist, London. Originally trained as a Fine Artist, graduating with a First Class BA Honours Degree, she went on to Chelsea College of Art to study Set...
