Sandra Di Leo is a designer and contemporary abstract expressionist artist. Having studied art and design she has been working as a designer since graduating in 2000 while pursuing her artistic career. The elements and principles of graphic design play a significant role in her art. Working solely in acrylics, Di Leo applies colour psychology in her work. Vibrant palettes are intended to evoke a positive response. Loose expressive brushstrokes and black fluid lines are applied to convey bold emotions and express a sense of play. Layers of colour and texture are applied along with patching and recovering on the base until there is perfect balance and harmony. Di Leo has a substantial history of art shows and significant press and is a favourite of several designers.
