This painting was inspired by the natural landscape and beauty of Aspen, U.S.A. Through the impressionist brushwork, Akshita captured the feeling of beauty, appreciation, and wonder she felt while in Aspen. This is more than just painting what is seen, but rather about communicating the emotion she felt in the presence of the sheer beauty of mother nature. It highlights being grateful for the gift we have been given of this planet we call home. Furthermore, that we need to do all we can to protect and preserve our planet because it is so very beautiful.
