David Shepherd
The Eyes of the Tiger

About the Item

Tiger head looking over its shoulder. “I have long admired David Shepherd and his love of the big wild animals. In almost everyone’s eyes he will be forever peerless in his ability to bring the African bush into his paintings. Now that it is so much more difficult to travel to Africa, he reminds me so powerfully of that country and its precious wildlife. It is a genuine privilege to have built up a small collection of his paintings of all my personal favourites: elephants, hippos, zebras, cheetahs, oryx, kudu and a single tiger. I know that they will become much treasured family heirlooms in the future.” - A Discerning Collector
