Blade Takes the City Again

2014

About the Item

Gorgeous painting by Graffiti legend Blade, Steven Ogburn on NYC MTA Subway Map. His paintings on subway maps are cool as Blade has painted on over 5000 subway trains so these are nostalgic and relevant to the artists career. Blade is also known as the King of Graffiti so often tags his signature with a crown. Hand signed by Blade towards bottom left of artwork. Titled “Blade Takes the City Again” it has the city skyline as the backdrop for the beautiful and vibrant large blade lettering. Lettering is reminiscent of the letter style graffiti the artist painted on subway trains in the 70’s in New York City. Made with acrylic spray paints and markers giving it a distinctive shiny texture. Painted on authentic NYC Subway Map. Certificate of Authenticity issued by our gallery included. RELATED: Invader, KAWS, Banksy, Shepard Fairey, Blek Le Rat, Cleon Peterson, Futura, Dran, Faile, Kunstasen, Seen, Graffiti Art, Mr. Brainwash, Zedsy, Swoon, DFace, Koons, Basquiat, Seen, Contemporary Art, Dondi White.
