Printed and published by Kerber Verlag, 2021, Germany)
The six-part painting series "Mythological" is painted with acrylic paint on small-scale canvases. The colourful, bold colours are not only distinguished by their colourfulness, but also by different line thicknesses or surface formations. Monochrome painted surfaces are interrupted by the fine lines of the contours of other shapes.
In each of the six paintings, a figure or the face of a figure can be seen in the environment of organic patterns of lines or surfaces. Some other side titles refer to figures of Greek mythology, such as Faun or Bacchus. The representations in the paintings carry different representational supplements. Other invented beings of the artist do not wear a head, but the face on the body, so they run through an abstract landscape. The degree of abstraction right from a flat minimalist representation to grid representations of fine lines. The colours compliment each other less than that they are contrary, so the viewer is taken by the colour, as well as the play of forms and figurative representations.
