Antonija Lutere
A walk in the brisk wind Oil on cardboard, 48x60 cm

About the Item

"A Walk in the Brisk Wind" is an oil painting on cardboard measuring 48x60 cm. The artwork depicts a scene of someone taking a walk amidst a brisk wind. It captures the essence of movement, energy, and the elements. The painting showcases the distinctive brushwork and emphasis on light and color. The artist employs loose, visible brushstrokes, often applied with quick and spontaneous movements, to create an impression rather than a detailed representation of the subject. "A Walk in the Brisk Wind" invites viewers to immerse themselves in the scene, to feel the gusts of wind on their skin, and to experience the dynamic interaction between nature and human presence. It encapsulates the essence of impressionism, celebrating the beauty found in everyday moments and the subjective interpretation of the artist's experience. Antonia Luther (1946) is a Latvian actress and artist. In 1974, she graduated from the Latvian Academy of Arts. Already during her studies, she joined the artistic life and started participating in various exhibitions. Since 1978, she has been a member of the Artists' Union of Latvia.
