The artist, Bea Sarrias, has developed much of her work in Barcelona, where she studied Fine Arts and soon became interested in architecture and the portrayal of iconic spaces. Her work, based on works by important Spanish and international architects, has received recognition, highlighting her virtuoso handling of light and shadows. Her most recent projects include the large-scale portrait she painted live in 2019 at NATO headquarters in Brussels and an action painting at Eurojust headquarters in 2023 invited by the Spanish government to celebrate the Spanish Presidency in the European Union.
Shortly thereafter, she undertook an artist residency at Mana Contemporary in New York, where she worked on the imprint that architect Josep Lluís Sert had left in the city. Subsequently, she has held monographic exhibitions on "La Ricarda" by Bonet Castellana"and on the Mies van der Rohe Pavilion in Barcelona. She has carried out several solo exhibitions and some artistic actions in Barcelona, Madrid, New York, Brussels, Amsterdam, Malmö and Oslo.
She is currently working on new artistic actions at an international level and is preparing a new stay at the University of La Cambre in Brussels to work on modern European architecture.
Her work is in different collections such as Mies van der Rohe Foundation, Eileen Kaminsky Foundation and Open Earth Foundation.
