About the Item

"Red Gloves" is a painting by the French artist Maestro Florence Metge. Two men wait in a space bathed in muted light, at the end of the day or artificial lighting. it is a circulation area that opens on one side to a staircase leading up to the right and on the other to a picture window framed by heavy curtains at the back. The mirror at the top left reflects the diffracted image of the prostrate man behind the seat. By its round shape, it marks the center of the room, at the crossroads of the circulations. The people who sit there are passing through, they stop between two stories. It’s a moment of rupture, the start of something else. We don't know what this man expects, who occupies the space with his size and the gaudy colors of his clothes. Maybe it's just the loneliness of these anonymous places? Through her art, she has a very sharp and unique style of bright and colorful expression.
