About the Item
Been Waiting is an original painting by Gbemileke Blessing Adegboro. Blessing created Been Waiting with Acrylic on a 30.3W by 42.5H inches primed canvas.
The artwork "Been Waiting" depicts a young lady wearing a necklace, captured in a moment of contemplation and anticipation. This piece of art is both evocative and mesmerizing, drawing the viewer in with its subtle nuances and emotive power.
At first glance, the young lady in the painting appears to be lost in thought, as if she is waiting for something or someone. Her expression is one of quiet expectancy, tinged with a hint of sadness. The necklace she wears is a striking feature of the painting, drawing attention to her graceful neck and the delicate curves of her collarbone.
The artist has used a muted color palette to create a sense of stillness and introspection. Shades of blue, yellow, and grey dominate the canvas, creating a subdued and calming atmosphere. This gentle color scheme is contrasted with the bright, warm tones of the necklace, which stands out as a symbol of hope and optimism.
One of the most striking aspects of "Been Waiting" is the way in which the artist has captured the essence of youth and beauty. The young lady in the painting is both vulnerable and strong, embodying the contradictions and complexities of human emotion. Her beauty is not just physical, but also comes from within, as evidenced by the depth of feeling in her eyes and the delicacy of her features.
The necklace she wears is an important element of the painting, symbolizing both her longing and her strength. It is a reminder that even in moments of waiting and uncertainty, there is always the possibility of hope and renewal. The necklace is a talisman, a precious object that she holds close to her heart, giving her the courage to face whatever lies ahead.
In conclusion, "Been Waiting" is a stunning work of art that captures the essence of youth, beauty, and hope. Through its masterful use of color, composition, and symbolism, it conveys a powerful message about the human experience, reminding us that even in moments of waiting and uncertainty, there is always the possibility of renewal and growth. Whether viewed from afar or up close, this painting is a true masterpiece, evoking a range of emotions and leaving a lasting impression on all who behold it.

Most of the time I enjoy trying new things. I really like the brush strokes of the impressionists, the flow of their movements, foundry colors, expressions, and different grayscales as well as their engagement in my paintings. This gave birth to my style. I see life as a passion for sticking to what we like and the endless battles of everything else that we abhor. Art is one of the open ways of talking to people in a visual way of imagination. The Expressions, emotions, feelings, and all the untold stories behind these make people feel connected.”
