Oil paint on archival paper relaid on board. Condition: Excellent. Signed lower right corner. Unframed. Image size: 24"H x 18"W
Recognized museum artist Jackie Kirk is best known for her series, "The Face of AIDS," a one-woman show of 50 paintings (25 pairs) at the California Palace of the Legion of Honor in San Francisco, CA, in 1991. The paintings, acrylic on rag board, are three by four feet framed in museum legat wood.
Jackie was born in 1929, and has shown in five major museums including archives in the Women's Museum in Washington DC and a One Woman show at the Duke Museum in North Carolina . She has spend a lifetime teaching, painting and drawing and at 86 is still thriving on her own and making art every day.

- American Contemporary Painting Dog Pink Tree Landscape Richard Huntington MexicoBy Richard HuntingtonLocated in Buffalo, NYAn original acrylic on paper by American artist Richard Huntington entitled "Dog on a Stump". This new work is part of the current gallery exhibition, A Sense of Place which runs through the end of June. This special exhibition is a celebration of the work of 4 extraordinary artists who used to call Western New York home. Travel lust, adventure, and livelihood have taken each of these artists to distant places, including China, Mexico, Massachusetts, and New York City, but they will always be a treasured part of Buffalo's dynamic arts community. Acknowledging that a sense of place can be an element in any work of art, shaping or transforming it depending on intentions and explorations, Resource:Art is thrilled to present this selection of new work by each of these unique artists.
