Professor Rick Rodrigues initiated a partnership between the City College of San Francisco and the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco and, since 1995, has been hosting drawing classes in SF museums (such as the de Young) to give young artists the opportunity to learn from art history’s old masters directly in the museum setting.
