Dont Shoot: Take Knee. Neo Expressionist Painting

2020

About the Item

In classic Sharp Edge 21st Century New York Style, Berlin acknowledges and shows solidarity with the world mourning the cruel death of George Floyd in the United States, and starting to come together to try to make sense of systemic racism. Black Lives Matter but the answer doesn't lie in rioting, violence and looting and Berlin volunteers his solution; it's a Spartacus style moment in history, collective responsibility. This piece fits within the radius of other pieces in the series, for example "Stamp Out Racism, We All from Africa", and highlights Berlins overarching humanity & love of his fellow man.
