About the Item
When he whispers "ciao bella" and they kiss, they both know that their lives are about to change on so many levels! This abstract expressionist figurative landscape captures the nurturing and heartfelt love that we all search for. Despite the rain, soaking wet umbrellas and the inevitable questioning of whether this romance is just the beginning or possibly the end, you are left with a feeling of hope and renewal! Lithuanian born artist Serge Ovcaruk has used his palette knife to create an oil painting that layers the many secrets and nuances of their private lives. His heavy impasto paint application knows no boundary, thereby accentuating the passion, action, weather, excitement. Keeping the transitional impact of this work current, it is framed with a custom floater frame. Ovcaruk began his journey into expression through oil painting at the Khmelnitsy Youth School of Arts in Ukraine, graduating in 1979, after which he studied from 1982-1986 with Vladimir Borodin to advance his fundamental techniques. In 2009 he became a member of the Zhemaitija Artists Association of Lithuania followed by membership in the Wimbledon Open Art Studio of London in 2014 and a chevalier ranked member of the Mondial Art Academy of France in 2018. Ovcaruk is a multiple award winning artist whose works hang in private collections world wide from Sweden to Russia to Ecuador, to the United Arab Emirates to Germany, Canada and across the United States.
