Pre-Raphaelite painting representing the scene of a warrior.
The oil on board of great quality represents a warrior who has defeated his opponent. The painting at the stylistic level is very reminiscent of the works of Dante Gabriele Rossetti, one of the most important painters of the Pre-Raphaelite current. The lightness of the armour, the ease of the subject and the attention to detail suggest a painter of the highest quality. The label behind the painting, which reads "école italienne", could also be a further trace for the attribution of the work.
