About the Item
Circular oil and acrylic painting by artist Wenyu Zhu. This work shows a passionate kiss of two people interwoven together by many red threads. The symbol of red thread can be traced back in the ancient Chinese folk lore, in which it represents a romantic connection between two young people.
Wenyu Zhu is a Chinese born artist living in Paris, France. She graduated from the École supérieure d'art du Nord Pas de Calais Dunkerque. She then continued her studies at the École supérieure libre d'art de Paris to obtain her doctorate. In recent years, her works have been widely collected by the Ministry of National Education (France), as well as by museums, galleries and collectors in China and France.
