About the Item
In this shoreline seascape painting, contemporary realist Alexandra Velichko attentively depicts the organic beauty of the waters forms with great technical skill. The majestic nature of the ocean is presented in intense realism, creating a sense of deep immersion and close proximity to the sea. The artist pays close attention to accurately rendering the rich blues and turquoises that are signature aspects of the beautiful ocean. The energy of the ocean is contrasted under an impression of a billowing, cloudy sky. This original artwork is painted on canvas, signed and ready to be displayed.
Alexandra Velichko born in 1984, lives and works in Kyiv, Ukraine. Her works are mostly focused on water in its different shapes. Raging ocean, deep blue sea, translucent waves or relaxing river views are the heroes of her paintings. She lives in Kyiv on a bank of the main river of Ukraine – Dnipro. To the question: “From where do you get your inspiration?”, she always confidently responds: “From nature.” Her love for the water started in 2011 after her first diving experience (she certified diver). Underwater life deeply impressed her. Later on sailing came barging into her life and she could not resist any more. Water horizons, sunsets, sunrises, clouds became her endless inspiration. She dedicated her life to recreation of those beauties on her canvas. Her works are in private collections throughout the whole world: Brazil, Australia, Philippines, USA, All Europe.

- London Panorama - Greenwich Shoreline, cityscape art, urban art, Thames artBy John DuffinLocated in Deddington, GBJohn Duffin is a painter and printmaker whose work is based on the modern environments of cities and towns, creating dynamic, cinematic images of contemporary urban life. His unique images of architecture, lighting and figures have been greatly praised and awarded, recently receiving The Most Outstanding Print Award from Sir peter Blake, he has a distinctive artistic voice and has much to say in his work about contemporary life in all of it’s manifestations. His work is in the tradition of LS Lowry in Britain and Edward Hopper in America and like these artists he creates unique views of contemporary urban life, a combination of his ability as a draughtsman, his imagination and his personal use of perspective and colour. He makes drawings and watercolours in front of his chosen subject and takes these sketches back to his London studio where he creates from them his own imaginative interpretation of the site, recreating the place anew via his own imagination. His work is redolent with influences from cinema, graphic novels and the history of figurative painting, but from this comes a vision that is his alone. London Panorama...Category
