About the Item

Bartolome Gonzalez Bleda (Bartolo) (1949-1995) - Snowy landscape - Oil on canvas Canvas measures 72x93 Frameless Bartolo was born in Hellín (Albacete) on November 28, 1949, residing in Barcelona since 1959. At the age of 18, with more than 200 awards to his credit, he entered the Massana School of Fine Arts, where he was chosen member of the jury of painting competitions where some of his teachers from the Massana school appeared. In 1971 he graduated with a specialty in Painting. Later he made study trips to France, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium and Luxembourg. More than 35 works are distributed in both national and international museums. Presenting his works in the Plaça del Pi in Barcelona at the beginning and throughout his life in Painting contests, he establishes a great friendship with other professional colleagues In love with the natural landscapes of his country, it is reflected in many of the artist's works, traveling throughout the Catalan and Spanish territory and leaving a sample in each of the author's works, being particularly captivated by the Pyrenees and maritime landscapes of the Costa Brava and more specifically from the town of Cadaqués. Already in his youth he is recognized for his "Arabesque" style through which he was awarded so many prizes for rapid oil painting. It is in his collection of "landscapes of the Soul" where his style and technique are already clearly representative, reflecting the artist's talent, since this collection of tintachinas is a clear reflection of his talent as an artist. But it is in the field of oil where he takes a master's step in combining his style with his own and pioneering technique in his field, as is well reflected in his works from the "La Pintura a Oscuras" collection, fully capturing the effect of three dimensions in his works. Unfortunately there are very few works that the artist manages to create with his new and refined technique, since on December 21, 1995 the artist died in an unfortunate traffic accident. His premature death at the age of 46 turned all his work into a closed collection, leaving behind him a professional trail with more than 800 1st. Painting prizes, exceeding more than 2,000 collective exhibitions and more than 35 works distributed by different museums. His latest collection "La Pintura a Oscuras" is one of the most unique in the world whose works have remained jealously guarded since his death until today and which will soon be publicly exhibited. This collection was created by Bartolomé González with fluorescent paint. Bartolomé González is the first artist who manages to create a three-dimensional effect in his works with this discipline.
