This stunning piece of art titled "Neve in Val Ceresio" is a captivating original work by renowned Italian artist Carlo Aimetti. Aimetti was known for his captivating scenes portraying landscapes, street scenes, garden views and much more. He achieved excellence in his career, producing hundreds of breathtaking works, now in many private collections and established auction houses around the world. This piece is signed by the artist lower right and it comes housed in a gold tone wood frame and hanging wire on verso ready to be displayed. Carlo Aimetti is known for his impressionistic scenes from all over the world. His extensive travels allows for his inspiration to flow free and to render locations of the across Europe. Mostly known for his pastoral strong use of oil and watercolor, we are drawn to the poignant brush strokes and vivid use of light throughout each one of his paintings. This piece is a tremendously vivid and alive scene from Val Ceresio with snow. Art measures 19 x 27 inches Frame measures 23 x 31 inches Carlo Aimetti was born in Bisuschio, in the province of Varese Italy in 1901. Aimetti was a pupil of the great landscape painter Enrico. He devoted himself to portraying mountains, lakes, valleys, but also gardens and parks, with his own technique, using oil but also pastel with particular effects. He participated in several group exhibitions in the galleries of Milan, exhibited at the Arengario in Monza and in galleries of various Italian cities. He lived and died in Milan in 1987.
