About the Item

Original Monumental oil painting by Italian artist Cavalier Michele Federico (1884–1966) of a Capri coastline. This stunningly executed Italian coastline painting is one of Federico's frequent subjects. When you look closely, Federico renders seascape with a more broad Impressionist style application while concentrating on meticulous attention to the detail of the light. This allows for excellent detail while enhancing the essence with a subdued feeling of emotion. born on November 13, 1884, in Capri, Italy. Federico studied under Antonio Lala and excelled in painting seascapes and Capri sceneries. In 1911, he held his debut exhibition at the Promatrice di Napoli. Federico has numerous exhibitions in Milan, Turin, Genoa, and at the Rome-based Societa Amatori e Caltori di Belle Arti. He also took part in the Pan Pacific International Exposition in San Francisco in 1915, the Italian Exposition in Buenos Aires in 1923, and the First Biennale in Naples.
