About the Item
You need a rest. You smell the sweet, natural fragrances from the blissful garden and know that all will be well, peaceful, joyous. The gentle elements in purple, orange, lime and cream form a cocoon to hibernate in. Artist Chieh-Nie Cherng began drawing as a child, attending Taiwan's leading art school, Taiwan National Academy of Fine Arts, under the tutelage of distinguished Chinese artist Yushuan Shao. Cherng graduated magna cum laude from Montclair State College after immigrating to the USA in 1981. Best known for her delicate florals, birds and still lives in watercolor, Cherng has turned towards oil painting in recent years, applying the same sensitivity as to form, color and light into her compostions, resulting in the same skilled excellence and painterly gentility. Cherng has shown her work in numerous juried shows, prestigious galleries and venues in New York City and along the eastern coast of the United States.
