About the Item
This acrylic on canvas from David Harper features a view from a window in the South of France on a warm evening with a sailing boat drifting slowly by. The vase in the bottom right corner is decorated with the ancient Chinese symbol for Happiness. The painting has the somnolent feel of Mediterranean warmth and lassitude whilst also being filled with the freshness of the garden flowers and the optimism of the symbolic vase.
